The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 As to what they did. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who place other gods besides God. They will come to know soon. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
