It is He who sends down water from the sky. From it you drink and with it trees grow on which you pasture your cattle. 10 He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the palm trees, and the grapes, and of all the fruits; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect. 11 And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense. 12 And He hath subjected for you whatsoever He hath multiplied for you on the earth of various kinds. Verily therein is a sign for a people who receive admonition. 13 It is He who has subdued the sea that you may eat fresh meat from it, and obtain ornaments to wear. You see the ships plough through it that you may seek of His bounties and, perhaps, be grateful. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 The stars and other signs also help people to find their way. 16 Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 And God knows what you keep secret and what you publish. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
