It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 And He has subjected to you the night and the day, the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand. 12 And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude). 13 It is He who has subjected the sea to you, so that you eat of its soft flesh and bring up from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing their course through it in order that you seek His bounty and give thanks. 14 And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you, and rivers and roads, that you may guide yourselves. 15 as well as [various other] means of orientation: for [it is] by the stars that men find their way. 16 Is the One who can create equal to the one who cannot create anything? Why, then, will you not consider? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 And God knows what you keep secret and what you publish. 19 But those whom you invoke, other than Allah do not create anything they are themselves created. 20 they are dead, not living, and they do not [even] know when they will be raised from the dead! 21
