Al-nahl 7 of 16

۞ Allah says: 'Do not take to yourself two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me' 51 And His is whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and unto Him is obedience due perpetually; will ye then fear any other than Allah? 52 And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans; 53 yet no sooner does He relieve your distress than some among you set up other partners besides their Lord, 54 In the end you will reject Our bounties. Enjoy yourselves; you will soon know (the consequences of your deeds). 55 They even appoint a share of what We have provided for them [to false gods] they know nothing of. You shall surely be questioned about the lies you have been fabricating. 56 And they appoint for Allah daughters - hallowed be He! and for themselves that which they desire. 57 When news is brought to one of them, of (the birth of) a female (child), his face darkens, and he is filled with inward grief! 58 Hiding from the people because of the evil of the tidings; “Will he keep her with disgrace, or bury her beneath the earth?”; pay heed! Very evil is the judgement they impose! 59 [Thus it is that] the attribute of evil applies to all who do not believe in the life to come - whereas unto God applies the attribute of all that is most sublime: for He alone is almighty, truly wise! 60
