۞ And Allah said (O mankind!): "Take not ilahain (two gods in worship, etc.). Verily, He (Allah) is (the) only One Ilah (God). Then, fear Me (Allah) much [and Me (Alone), i.e. be away from all kinds of sins and evil deeds that Allah has forbidden and do all that Allah has ordained and worship none but Allah]. 51 And whatever is in the heavens and the earth is His, and to Him should obedience be (rendered) constantly; will you then guard against other than (the punishment of) Allah? 52 And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans; 53 When He saves you from the hardship, some of you start to believe in idols. 54 So that they be ungrateful for what We have given them; then enjoy yourselves; for soon will you know 55 And for things unknown, they assign a portion of the sustenance We have given them; by Allah – you will certainly be questioned regarding all that you used to fabricate. 56 They attribute daughters to God, the glorious, but for themselves whatsoever they please. 57 When the glad news of the birth of their daughter is brought to them, their faces turn gloomy and black with anger. 58 He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that which is announced to him. Shall he keep it with disgrace or bury it (alive) in the dust? Now surely evil is what they judge. 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil description, and for Allah is the highest description. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 60
