When We replace a message with another -- and God knows best what He reveals -- they say: "You have made it up;" yet most of them do not know. 101 Say: "Holy inspiration has brought it down from thy Sustainer by stages, setting forth the truth, so that it might give firmness unto those who have attained to faith, and provide guidance and a glad tiding unto all who have surrendered themselves to God." 102 Yet We know what they say: "It is only a man who instructs him." The speech of the man they imply is obscure while this is clear Arabic. 103 Verily! Those who believe not in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, Allah will not guide them and theirs will be a painful torment. 104 Only those fabricate lies concerning God who do not believe in the signs of God, and these are the liars. 105 As for anyone who denies God after having once attained to faith - and this, to be sure, does not apply to one who does it under duress, the while his heart remains true to his faith, but [only, to] him who willingly opens up his heart to a denial of the truth: upon all such [falls] God's condemnation, and tremendous suffering awaits them: 106 That is because they loved and preferred the life of this world over that of the Hereafter. And Allah guides not the people who disbelieve. 107 God has sealed their hearts, ears and eyes and they are not aware of it. 108 Without doubt, in the Hereafter they will perish. 109 ۞ Surely, your Lord will be forgiving and merciful towards those who migrated after persecution and strove hard for the cause of God and remained steadfast. 110
