Mention the story of Abraham, the truthful Prophet, in the Book (the Quran) 41 He said to his father: 'O father, why worship that which can neither see nor hear, nor helps you in anything? 42 Father, there has come to me knowledge such as came not to thee; so follow me, and I will guide thee on a level path. 43 Father, do not serve Satan, for Satan has indeed been a persistent rebel against the Most Compassionate Lord. 44 O my father, I fear lest a punishment from Ar-Rahman should befall you, and you should become a friend of the Devil." 45 He said: "Are you averse to my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I shall have you stoned to death. So go away for a while from me." 46 He said, “Stop it – peace be upon you; I shall seek forgiveness for you from my Lord; indeed He is very kind to me.” 47 "And I shall remain separated from you and all that you worship other than Allah and shall worship my Lord; possibly, by worshipping my Lord, I will not be amongst the unfortunate.” 48 So when he turned away from them and those they worshipped, other than Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob. Each of them We made a Prophet, 49 We granted them Our mercy and bestowed on them true and high renown. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
