Hast thou not seen how We sent the Satans against the unbelievers, to prick them? 83 So make no haste against them, for We but count out to them a (limited) number (of days). 84 On the Day when We shall gather the Godconscious unto [Us,] the Most Gracious, as honoured guests, 85 And shall drive the culprits to Hell as a herd. 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 whereat the heavens might well-nigh be rent into fragments, and the earth be split asunder, and the mountains fall down in ruins! 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 The Beneficent God is too Exalted to have a son. 92 None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to the All-merciful as a servant; 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 And each one of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – the Most Gracious will appoint love for them. (In the hearts of other believers.) 96 So We have made this (the Quran) easy in your own tongue (O Muhammad SAW), only that you may give glad tidings to the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - See V. 2:2), and warn with it the Ludda (most quarrelsome) people. 97 And how many a generation We destroyed before them! Dost thou perceive so much as one of them, or hear of them a whisper? 98
