Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (things) against them, for We count out to them a number, 84 On the day that We shall muster the godfearing to the All-merciful with pomp 85 And We will drive the guilty to hell thirsty 86 On that Day none will have the power to intercede for them except those who received a sanction from the Most Compassionate Lord. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have indeed brought an extremely grave speech! 89 Well-nigh the heavens are rent thereat and the earth cleft in sunder and the mountains fall down in pieces. 90 Due to their ascribing of an offspring to the Most Gracious. 91 And it behoveth not the Compassionate that he should take a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allah) as a slave. 93 He has counted them and numbered them precisely, 94 And each one of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 To the righteously striving believers God will grant love. 96 So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. 97 And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound? 98
