Do you not realize that We have sent Satan to incite the unbelievers to sin. 83 So make no haste against them (O Muhammad). We do but number unto them a sum (of days). 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from the Most Beneficent (Allah). 87 They say, "The Gracious One has begotten a son." 88 Indeed, [by this assertion] you have brought forth something monstrous, 89 the heavens might well-nigh burst thereat, and the earth break asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 For they have attributed a son to Ar-Rahman, 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but he shall come to the Most Compassionate Lord as His servant. 93 He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. 94 And everyone of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment. 95 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good deeds for them will Allah bring about love. 96 So We have made this (Qur'an) easy in your tongue that you may give good news to those who take heed, and warn the people who are contentious. 97 But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them? 98
