T H (Taa Haa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 Whether you speak out aloud (or in a low voice), He knows what is said secretly, and even that which is most hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I am thy Lord; put off thy shoes; thou art in the holy valley, Towa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 "In order that We may show thee (two) of our Greater Signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
