T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta Ha 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
