(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
