Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 And remember You much. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
