[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 and ease my task for me, 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron my brother 30 By him confirm my strength 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember you often. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 "Go you and your brother with My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and do not, you both, slacken and become weak in My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said, “Do not fear I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
