'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 "Ease my task for me; 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 so that they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 And remember You much. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So go to him, and say: verily we are two apostles of thy Lord, so let go with us the Children of Isra'il, and torment them not; surely we have come unto thee with a sign from thy Lord: and peace be upon him who followeth the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
