The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
