The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
