Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 And share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 "And remember You much, 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 (Moses) replied: "Knowledge of that is with my Lord (recorded) in the Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
