The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
112 verses, revealed in Mecca after Abraham (Ibrahim) before The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Their reckoning draweth nigh for mankind, while they turn away in heedlessness. 1 Never does a new reminder come to them from their Lord but they listen to it with dalliance. 2 their hearts being set on other concerns. The wrong-doers whisper to one another: "This person is no more than a mortal like yourselves. Will you, then, be enchanted by sorcery while you see?" 3 Say: "My Sustainer knows whatever is spoken in heaven and on earth; and He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing." 4 They have said, "It, (the Quran), is only the result of some confused dreams. He is only a poet. He should show us some miracles, as the ancient Prophets had done." 5 Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe? 6 And We did not send (Prophets) before you except men, to whom We sent divine revelations therefore, O people, ask the people of knowledge if you do not know. 7 And We did not create them without bodies so they would not eat food nor that they abide on earth forever. 8 Our promise to them came true and We saved them and those whom We wanted, but destroyed the unjust people. 9 And assuredly We have sent down unto you a Book wherein is admonition for you; will ye not then reflect? 10

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
