The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
