The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
