The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are the heirs 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We send down water from the skies in accordance with a measure [set by Us,] and then We cause it to lodge in the earth: but, behold, We are most certainly able to withdraw this [blessing]! 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
