The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
