The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
