[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. 79 It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? 80 Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said: 81 They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? 82 "Verily, this we have been promised, we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!" 83 Say: "Whose is the earth and whosoever is therein? If you know!" 84 Thereupon they will say, “To Allah”; proclaim, “Therefore why do you not ponder?” 85 Say, “Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Tremendous Throne?” 86 They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed)." 87 Ask them: "Say, if you indeed know, to whom belongs the dominion over all things; (Who is it) that grants asylum, but against Whom no asylum is available?" 88 They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: How then are ye bewitched? 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 Allah has not chosen any child, nor any other God along with Him – were it so, each God would have taken away its creation, and each one would certainly wish superiority over the other; Purity is to Allah above all the matters they fabricate. 91 The Knower of the unseen and the seen, so may He be exalted above what they associate (with Him). 92
