Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 "So that I may do good in that which I have left behind!" No! It is but a word that he speaks, and behind them is Barzakh (a barrier) until the Day when they will be resurrected. 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 High Exalted be Allah, the King, the Truth. There is no god except He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
