Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 And they whose weight [of righteousness] is heavy in the balance - it is they, they who will have attained to a happy state; 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He will say, "You only stayed for a little while, if only you knew. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon). Sent down in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
