Pray, “My Lord! If You show me the promise they are given,” 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 (They will be told), "Were Our revelations not recited to you and did you not call them lies?" 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 Lord, deliver us from Hell. Then, if we revert again, we shall definitely be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? 115 High Exalted be Allah, the King, the Truth. There is no god except He, the Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
True are the words of God the Almighty.
