The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the perspicuous Book. 2 It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 So they have surely belied; wherefore anon there shall come unto them the truth of that whereat they were wont to mock. 6 Do they not see the earth, how We grow all kinds of noble things upon it? 7 Verily therein is a sign; yet most of them are not believers. 8 Verily Your Lord is Infinitely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 9
