And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 Pharaoh said: "And what is the 'Lord and Cherisher of the worlds'?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
