And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 And yet thou didst commit that [heinous] deed of thine, and [hast thus shown that] thou art one of the ingrate!" 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 Moses replied, "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you want to be certain". 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 (Moses) said: "Lord of the East and the West, and all between! if ye only had sense!" 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
