And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 Then he uncovered his hand and it was sheer white to the onlookers. 33
