And recite to them the news of Ibrahim. 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They said: We worship idols, so we shall be their votaries. 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 Or do they benefit or harm you? 73 They replied, "But we found our fathers doing the same." 74 He said, 'And have you considered what you have been serving, 75 "You and your ancient fathers? 76 They are all enemies to me; all, except the Lord of the Universe 77 Who created me, then He has shown me the way: 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 and Who, when I am ill, heals me; 80 Who will make me die, then give me life again, 81 and who I am eager shall forgive me my offence on the Day of Doom. 82 “My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” 83 "Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations); 84 "Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 "Forgive my father, for that he is among those astray; 86 and do not put me to shame on the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 87 the Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children, 88 "But only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah a sound heart; 89 And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). 90 whereas the blazing fire will be laid open before those who had been lost in grievous error; 91 And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship 92 "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" 93 "Then they will be thrown headlong into the (Fire),- they and those straying in Evil, 94 And the soldiers of Iblees, all together. 95 They will dispute between themselves therein, and will say, 96 By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error, 97 When we equalled you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 And no one misguided us except the criminals. 99 So none we have as intercessors. 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 In all this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 103 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 104

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
