And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
