Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 Then there comes to them that with which they are threatened, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
