And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
