This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Indeed they have been removed far from even (a chance of) hearing it. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
