And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
