The Unbelievers say: "What! when we become dust,- we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 Do not grieve over them, and do not be distressed by what they contrive. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 certainly it is guidance and a blessing for the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our revelations and surrender themselves to Us. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
