Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say: 'It may be that riding behind you already is some part of that you seek to hasten on. 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 there is nothing hidden in heaven and on earth, but is recorded in a clear Book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ When God's word is justly carried out against them, We will produce a dabbah from the earth which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our signs. 82
