And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 We have been promised this, and our fathers before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And all the hidden secrets of the heavens and the earth are (written) in a clear Book. (The Preserved Tablet) 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
