۞ Say to them, "I exhort you to do one thing: and that is to stand up before God in pairs, or singly, and then reflect. You will thus realize that your companion is not afflicted with madness. He is only a warner, warning you of an impending severe chastisement." 46 Say to them: “Whatever recompense I might ask of you, it shall be yours. My recompense is with Allah, and He is witness over everything.” 47 Proclaim, “Indeed my Lord sends down the truth; the All Knowing of all the hidden.” 48 Say, "The truth has come, and falsehood can neither begin [anything] nor repeat [it]." 49 Say thou: if ever I go astray, I shall stray only against myself, and if I remain guided it is because of that which my Lord hath revealed unto me. Verily He is Hearing, Nigh. 50 And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place. 51 And then they will say: we believe therein. But whence can there be the attainment of faith from a place so afar. 52 And they disbelieved in it before, and they utter conjectures with regard to the unseen from a distant place. 53 A gulf will exist between them and their desires on the Day of Judgment like the similar people who lived before. They, too, had lived in doubt and uncertainty (about the life hereafter). 54
