۞ O men, you are the ones that have need of God; He is the All-sufficient, the All-laudable. 15 If He wills, He can take you away and bring other creatures. 16 nor is this difficult for God. 17 No one who carries a burden bears another's load; and even if the burdened soul cry out for help none will carry the least of its burden, however close a relative it may be. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in secret and fulfil their devotional obligations. Whoever grows in goodness does so for himself. To God is the journeying back. 18 For [thus it is:] the blind and the seeing are not equal; 19 And neither are darkness and brightness! 20 Nor are the shade and the heat, 21 Neither are the living and the dead alike. Surely Allah makes whom He pleases hear, and you cannot make those hear who are in the graves. 22 Thou art no other than a warner. 23 Indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner. 24 If they cry thee lies, those before them also cried lies; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, the Psalms, the Illuminating Book; 25 but in the end I seized those who were bent on denying the truth and how terrible was My punishment. 26
