Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 and the Quran, the Book of wisdom, 2 you are indeed one of the messengers 3 On the Straight Path. 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 Verily We have placed on their necks shackles which are up to the chins; so that their heads are forced up. 8 And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. 9 Whether you warn them or do not warn, it is all the same; they will not believe. 10 You can warn only him who follows the Admonition and fears the Merciful Lord without seeing Him. Give such a one good tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
