The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
