The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
