The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 And whenever they see a sign, they mock at it. 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
