The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And those who drive [the clouds] 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
