۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 Truly, that Day, they will (all) share in the Penalty. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 for when it was said to them, 'There is no god but God,' they were ever waxing proud, 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-fire, 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
